Blogger's Challenge #105: Alter it!
Good day! Our assignment this week was to alter something. It took all week for me to think of something to make, but by divine intervention, I remembered this tutorial that Sheryl had done to make a photo cube from CD cases and inspiration was born! I added a bottom to it to stablize it a bit more.
I used the very soon to be retired DSP Parisian Specialty. I LOVED this paper! It was the cardstock weight and awesome to work with! There is very little stamping or even embellishing with this. I just wanted a place to put photos. I actually made it as a little gift for a friend.

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge #75
Good morning!
I'm keeping it super short today! I've got a long list of things to do and a short time to do them!
Here's my card. It's for my dad's birthday in July! I think he'll like it...he usually does! My dad LOVES his birthday (so do I!) When I was younger, he would always say stuff like, "Can you do (fill in the blank) for me? It's MY birthday." And we would!

Blogger's Challenge #104: Manly Cards!
I'm back...for at least this week and am hoping for next week! I'm sharing the card that I made for Father's Day. It uses LOTS of Last Chance items. You only have until June 30th to order these stamps so go to my Stampin' Up! website and order righ away...and a few other things while you are at it! (www.lisabohler.stampinup.net)
On to the card:
My first inspiration was to use an alphabet to spell out DAD (Thanks Robin Merriman for her card last week which also used this idea...an inspiration!) After I figured out my main image (the sign from It's a Sign stamp set), the card came together quite quickly. I used the My ABCs wheel to create a road. Both the It's a Sign set and the My ABCs wheel are on the Last Chance list. The alphabet I worked with (Contempo Alphabet)is not on the list! Whew! A little bit of sponging and using my Color Spritzer Tool and my card was finished and sent off to our fathers! (I know, there is supposed be only one #1 but both of our dads are pretty terrific...a great tie!)
Thanks for looking and be sure to see what the other challenge members are doing with this manly challenge!

Thank you!
I want to share a couple of cards that I received. Steve's Grandma Berndt passed away on May 25th. Lisa and Mary Jo sent these beautiful sympathy cards that I have to share with you...they are just gorgeous. This first one was from Lisa Somerville:
If you look carefully, you can see that she "doubled-up" the dark purple flowers and added those with dimensionals! Gorgeous watercoloring, too!
This next card is from Mary Jo Price-Williams:
I love the balance of the buttons and the double image stamping that she did...and I love all things with scallops!
Thanks for thinking of us girls!
