Blogger's Challenge #175: Halloween!

I have a VERY simple Halloween contribution for my Blogger's Challenge this week!  First, I made candy wrapper treats for my students.  I used the Candy Wrapper Bigz L Die for the Big Shot...whipped them up rather quickly!  I added the jack-o-lantern face from the Autumn Harvest set to make them look like little pumpkins!

I also made a little photo book to hold my Halloween pics!  I used Elegant Elegance ink with the Trick or Treat Letterpress plate.  You need to use craft ink for this item so I used a craft spot.  I added a little trim with Basic Black Waffle Paper and punched a couple of bats to complete the project.

Thanks for looking!  Sorry I was late with my contribution.  Hopefully, you'll be like me and check out what the other Blogger's Challenge players did for their Halloween projects!

Blogger's Challenge #174: Reuse Recycle

I found this frame in a clearance section at Walmart for less than 40 cents!  I added the sparkle on the frame using Gold Glow Smooch Spritz.  The top image is simply Crumb Cake cardstock, the moon sponged with Crumb Cake and More Mustard and then the silhouette stamped in Early Espresso.

The bottom in background is Deck the Halls DSP and the sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso on Crumb Cake Cardstock and framed with Always Artichoke cardstock.

Thanks for looking.  See what you can reuse and recycle and be sure to see what the other BC girls did with this challenge.  There's a link on my sidebar to their blogs.

Blogger's Challenge #173: Black/White and a Splash of Orange!

Our Challenge for this week was to create a black and white card with a splash of orange...I kind of dumped on the Peach Parfait but I like the results!

I began with my Basic Black CS and ran it through my Big Shot with the Spider Web Embossing Folder.  I used my brayer again this week and with Whisper White ink, gently added the ink to the raised portions of the web.  I needed a little glammer, so I sprayed the background with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.

The image is from the Greeting Cards Kids.  I must confess, these little images kind of creeped me out at first with those beady little eyes.  But then, I saw so many adorable cards that I got over that problem and bought it!!!  I used markers and my Aquapainter to color the image.

I punched out the image with the XL scallop circle punch and used the 2 1/2 inch circle punch in Peach Parfait as the background.  To add a little frill, I adhered a gathered up piece ( or four) of the Basic Black Waffle paper.

The Happy Halloween sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  A little more of a finish came with the Peach Parfait Glimmer brad and the Peach Parfait Stitched Poly-Ribbon.

Thanks for looking and please go and see the other players' Black and White and Orange creations!!

Blogger's Challenge #172: Sketch Challenge

I LOVED this sketch that Lisa created for this challenge!  I saw a lot of possibilities with it!  But when I got my new Mary Kay perfume and lotion, I was so inspired by the design of the box and the colors that I went in that direction.  Thinking of You is the name of the new scent and I love it!

Here is the sketch:

Blogger's Challenge #171: Happy Anniversary

I've seen the owls done as a couple before and since that punch was on my desk, I thought that would be my starting point.  I also incorporated a bubble heart using the new silver crinkle paper and a cotton ball!

Thanks for looking and be sure to check out what the other Bloggers Challenge players were up to!
