Actually, it should be "Simply Resistible!" because the challenge for this week was to incorporate any resist technique. One of my tried and true favorites is rubber cement resist! All you need is some glossy paper and some rubber cement. (Which is a cheap technique...$1.78 at my Walmart...needed to buy a new bottle...I've had my first one for over 5 years!)
Take your piece of glossy cardstock and put it on a scratch piece of paper (important as you will want to be able to move it from your work area to dry.) Drizzle the rubber cement all over the cardstock. You can try patterns or just at random. Once the rubber has dried, stamp or brayer color over the cement. Then, use a paper towel to remove excess ink from the surface of the rubber. Then, peel the rubber cement away. Now, when I was a kid, we used a glue similiar to this and referred to these rubber cement remaining pieces as boogers...you call them what you like!
I used Certainly Celery ribbon, cardstock and ink. The alligator is stamped onto Shimmery White (a favorite of mine!) The text was a little too large for the Word Window punch, so after I stamped the words, I trimmed the piece to 3/8 of an inch and fed it into the Word Window punch to make it fit.
Be sure to check out the other Blogger Challenge members...that's what I'm going to do next! Thanks for looking!

What a great technique to use with this challenge. I've tried this once, and now you have inspired me to revisit it. Thanks.
How fun and cute. I thought about trying this technique (would you believe I've never done it) I bought the rubber cement and just haven't gotten around to trying it out. Love what you did though.
This is sooo pretty! I love the results with that technique! Great job this week! {SMILES}

Super technique and one I've never tried. I love the outcome of this one. This is so cute...
Funky Cool!
It has been so long since I did that technique that my rubber cement is probably solid cement! Your card is adorable. Great job on the challenge.
Great resist technique - the squiggles work great with your stamp image.
This is so COOL! I have never done this before, so you know I have got to try it! Love this card, Lisa!
What a delightful card Lisa! Thanks for sharing this technique! I've never tried this one before! It made a wonderful background for this card! :D

What a fun card! Thanks for doing this technique. For years I've wanted to do it but never did because of the time it needs to dry inbetween steps... I guess I will have to finally try it now :-)
I remember calling them glue boogers too....too funny!!! I am going to have to get some rubber cement and try this technique. It looks WAY cool!!! Great card!!!
