Our challenge was to make a birthday card...that simple. By the way, our blogger's Challenge, Mom, Lisa Somerville, will be celebrating her birthday tomorrow...I thought it quite clever to have this as our challenge this week! Happy Birthday, Lisa!!! Be sure to check out all of the BC members but check out Lisa's blog especially cause she's having quite a birthday celebration!
On to my card....I began with Shimmery White cardstock, Wild Wasabi classic ink and the Dotted Lines Jumbo Wheel and using my wheel guide, went crazy with dots!! There are dots going in three different directions! Next, another piece of Shimmery White, Wild Wasabi classic ink, and my Birthday Whimsy stamp set (One of the SAB sets you can get for FREE!!!...did you see my special offer? Order by Saturday to take me up on the drawing!!!), I stamped the cake and then got my Crystal Effects out and went wild. First, I dotted the CE all over the background and then sprinkled some Celery chunky glitter and shook off the extra. Then, added a bit more CE onto the cake itself and set that aside to dry.
Now, the real fun! I took the Ribbon Slide from the Styled Silver HodgePodge kit (in new Occasions Mini!) and with a mixture of CE and Wild Wasabi ink refill, I colored in the ribbon slide! I allowed that to dry and added it to the WW Double-stitched ribbon. I put in all together onto a Wild Wasabi card base and ta-da! Another BC is complete!!!
