Color Inspiration #36

I chose to make a box this week instead of a card. I was inspired by my friend and fellow blogger's challenge blogger, Patty, who recently posted a tutorial. Another online friend and fellow blogger's challenge blogger, Sheryl, has a different style for her tutorial that includes a lid! I'll have to give that a try next.

I decided that a handle would be the way for me to go for today. To see who else participated in Kristina's color challenge, click here. For the where I placed my text, I don't know who to give credit for this choice of layering punches. I know I saw something similiar on one of my google reader subs but I can't find it now for the life of me!

I am using two new products from the upcoming (soon!) catalog! First is the Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper (DSP). I used just a 3/4 inch band around the box and on the handle. Gorgeous paper!!! The other is called "Elegant Thank You." What's really neat about this is that it's the only stamp! I used a marker to highlight just the text but it's really beautiful with the rest of the image. I wonder if there will be more one-stamp options in the Spring-Summer Idea Book? We'll soon find out!

Hope everyone is having a GREAT start to a new year!

Project ingredients:

Your box is beautiful, Lisa! I love these colors (haven't used my new dsp yet). The sponging on the scallops really looks nice!
